Marlboro survives scare at Cheraw - Kendrick McRae came off the bench to rush for 268 yards and three touchdowns as Marlboro County survived an upset attempt by Class AA Cheraw. win - Marlboro County opened the 2003 football
regular season with a 35-7 victory over Clover at McAlpine Stadium.
After struggling to establish themselves in the first half, the Bulldogs
responded with 21 points in the fourth quarter. The rushing effort
was led by senior quarterback Kendrick McCrae, who gained 142 yards on
just nine attempts. Senior tailback Jermaine Stanton scored twice
while also eclipsing the century mark.
