From 1953 to 1978, Wade H. “Hamp” Prince brought focus, discipline and compassion in his role as principal of Wright Elementary and High School, Blenheim High School and Blenheim Elementary.

Moore St. home target of multiple drive-by incidents

Police are dealing with a flurry of drive-by shootings at a residence on Moore Street, just steps away from Bennettsville City Hall.
There have been four incidents at 107 Moore Street just this week, including two within a 45-minute period Tuesday night.
“It’s like the Wild West,” said Lt. Larry Turner of the Bennettsville Police Department.

O-W runs over Bulldogs to end season

The inability to stop a power-running game haunted the Marlboro County High football team all year.  Friday night, that weakness brought an end to the season.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson pounded the Bulldog defense for seven rushing touchdowns and over 250 yards enroute to a 46-33 win in the first round of the state playoffs.
