In what promises to be a day of fun, sun and music, the Lake Paul Wallace Authority will be hosting the inaugural Lake Wallace Day this Saturday.
The entertainment will kick off at noon with a return engagement by the Carolina Show Ski Team from Tega Cay, near Charlotte.

'Cold Blooded Encounters'

The Marian Wright Edelman Public Library welcomed some special visitors on Wednesday morning. Cold Blooded Encounters, Inc., a North Carolina-based traveling science center and reptile zoo, brought its program to the library as part of the summer reading series. Fall practice starts Friday

While the calendar and thermometer might not agree, the summer is over, at least for high school football players throughout South Carolina.  Fall practice can officially begin on Friday and, like most schools, Marlboro County High will be taking full advantage of their time.
